Another amazing green tea from Russell Organics. The China Beauty Rings Green Tea is harvested from the Mount Meng region of the Sichuan Province. The high elevation gives the tea a remarkable quality.
The handmade rings unfurl when steeped, yielding a pale-yellow beverage with pleasing jammy-like notes. The hand-rolling of the green tea dates back to the 13th century and currently there are only two villages that specialize in this type of manufacturing. The freshly plucked leaves are slightly wilted and then rolled around a tea stick, then dried in an oven to preserve the flavor and the shape of the tea.
Use 1 teaspoon per cup of water. Bring water to a slight boil and steep the tea for 3 minutes. The tea may be used and enjoyed several times.
